depends on what you wnat ot do . have a 2stroke thats fun fast a EASY and cheap to keep up. or a 4stroke that if or when it blows you could buy a nother 2stroke for the cost of the repairs . dont get me wrong i have a CRF450RF and i know a 4stroke can be a faster RACE bike but if you just in it for the fun the 2 stroke if 1000x funnR to ride and easy to keep up |

just like what everyone else has said....what do you want to accomplish etc....a local 13 year old kid in Fl beats up the schoolboy class on his 125, he just never lets off the throttle. Many say learn to ride on a 125 and when/if you get good then you can ride the 4stroke even faster.... nothing new here....it's the rider. also read last year a kid in Arkansa, beat up a bunch of B riders on his KX85/112 super mini...(team green kid) |

yeah its basically what ur wallet and skill is i can go just as fast on my 125 as on my 250f its persoanly pref. but off the gate 4t are killin it in 2nd gear and 450s 3rd gear starts are prime!

is this really a choice???do you want to buy used or new....if new 4 stroke than you know what you have if used 2 stroke than you can rebuild cheap....we have a rm125 that will stomp a 250f but my son likes his rmz250 easier to ride and be lazy....you have to work to make a 2 stroke fast....it's all in the rider what do you want????
