| About to buy a Skyteam ST90, Have a few questions first.
I have been lurking on the forums quite a few times. Finally decided to become a member! My friend has a ST-90 that he said he would sell me for a nice price. After doing some research it doesnt seem like there is much information on this bike. My first concern is that I want to plate it and ride it on the streets. My friend said that he has never had a title since he bought it. What would I be able to do in this situation? Also I would like to do a lot of mods to the bike. I can't seem to find a lot of aftermarket support for the bike. If someone could fill me in that would be great! I'll post some pics of the bike when I get it. Edit: I've seen some ZB's with fairings to make it look like a CBR could i get some for the ST? |

Welcome! Don't know anything about this bike,if your gonna spend lot's on mod's and getting a title,it might be easier to just buy a bike that has a title and a bigger motor(bike made for the street)and be done with it.Check out the street legal NCC X4 Motard,i think they can be had for a decent deal. Good luck with the adventure!

The guys in the ZB forum should be able to help you out. I think some of ZB mods will fit the ST

i had a plated 2005 st90.A fun bike but youll need to replace the rear shock and stiffin up the forks. The quality is lacking on a few components;gauges, rear shock(bungy cord)and body parts seem to rust in front of your eyes. All these are fixable so not a big deal.

Not a problem, I'd most defiantly take it for a proper photo shoot. It seems like a lot of bikes here are lacking some good photos. I'm probably going to go to the DMV to see what I can do about the title. Plans are (In the following order): Get titled and insured Ride, Ride, Ride Tear apart for paint and polish Upgrade suspension New tires Stretched swingarm Make custom tail piece from fiberglass Led turn signals all around. Thats about it, maybe if I get bored I'll weld up a exhaust for it. |
