Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Hello Planet Minis! I'm new around here as you see.
I'm looking for a bore up kit for my pbr. I want to use my original 50cc head, so i'm limited to 75-90cc i guess. I'm cheap ... (student)
Any suggestions?links?

ENGINE_KITS
The prices there are good but there are so many options that i dont know which will fit my engine..

Also how to do the change, how to get the camshaft/camchain right and so on?
Do the kits come with any manual/instructions?

Share your experience.

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

A what now? There is no such thing there!?

85CC_CYLINDER_KIT Z50A + R 68_TO_81 (MARKED_49CC)

Will this fit? A "49cc" marked on the cylinder is a good thing for me as i want to keep it officially "moped".

Probably a aluminium would be better, as my original steel one is already rusting after 500 miles..

Do you think they will ship to Estonia as they have not listed Estonia in the countries list in shopping cart where you choose your address..

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Im wondering, will a TB 88cc RH kit (or BXM) work on a stock pbr50 exhaust or is it too restrictive and do even damage on the engine? I want to keep it quiet and stock looking (a moped if you will) to not having to plate and insure it..
I was thinking of welding a wider pipe to the first part of the header, now its very thin..
You can see it here: http://www.mopo.fi/kuvat/tuotekuvat/pbr01.jpg

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

There's a good set of instructions here:
Technical --Dano's Bike Shop-- 50cc MotoX, Fifty, Fiddy, Minibike Information Source

If you're inexperienced, you may want to purchase from a vendor willing/able to provide the technical support you'll likely need. The kit you linked is for the early short-rod motors. You need one for 82-up.

If you have a small chamber head:
XR50_CRF50 Z50R_1982_TO_99 85cc_STEEL 51MM_CYLINDER_KIT (MARKED_47CC) (600040)

Large chamber:
85CC_CYLINDER_KIT XR70 ALL YEARS CT70 82_TO_94 PASSPORTS (82_83)
Have to request the "49cc" jug

An unmarked TB88 kit with the alloy jug is a nice way to go. You won't hurt the engine with the stock pipe, you'll just be down a little power on top.

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Installing the kit won't be a problem, i'm just a little worried if the stock exhaust will work with a little modding. Can't afford another 300bucks on an aftermarket exhaust right now.

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Oh that was a year ago, but i havent still got the kit. Now im thinking of Trailbikes 88cc kit with the race head for 350bux, only have heard good about it. What does that "unmarked" mean?

Just that it won't have a displacement cast in the cylinder.

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

No displacement marks. I have an older 88cc alloy one with 49cc on it, but i can't find them new. DrATV says they're out. I'm pretty sure they're from Europe, so you may have better luck there.

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Will the cam chain surely fit on the race head?
Also, right now the sprocket is 13teeth and on the wheel if i remember right theres a 51tooth one, that seems awfully slow, how much should i make it faster? 10" wheels 120/90-10 tires.

You have a 51 tooth sprocket on the back? If so, that's huge. What transmission do you have?

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Well i suppose its 51 tooth, it had 51Z written on it. The transmission... i really dunno, some 50cc china engine with el. starter... By the stock spidometer im doing around 45mph @ 10000rpm... That seems weird to me.. The monkey speed calc gave me much lower number.. Fortunately the sprockets are locally available to me so i can test some out.But where to start?

Yup, $300 to 400 is not worth putting into a 50c china motor, just find a 120 or 125 or even a 140 lifan or gpx and replace the entire engine. The improvement in head design and valve size of the new engines is also important so it can breathe while adding 30 ccs and keeping the stock head won't give you the full power potential. check this out, 125 for under 300

I ran my 141 with the stock 50 pipe for a little while but it was too restricted. for exhaust I found a used pitser pipe, then cut and welded a piece of tubing to make it fit my bike. total cost was about 50 bucks. see it here

Re: Bore up kit for a skyteam pbr 50

Yeah, but shipping of an ~25kg engine from usa costs also 300 bucks.
And im not keeping the stock head also, the TB kit comes with a race head..
