NSR Rear Caliper.

Hey, I was wondering the distance between the two mounting points on the stock nsr rear caliper. Also the distance between the two mounting points on the rear master cylinder. Center to center would be awesome. Thanks.

Re: NSR Rear Caliper.

71mm for the rear caliper mounts and 45mm for the master cylinder. remember for the rear caliper one of the mounts is a post that the caliper self aligns on and other is the mounting bolt.

Re: NSR Rear Caliper.

Yup, I did keep that in mind. I was basically looking to see if a CR85 rear master cylinder and caliper would work since NSR parts are such a pain to find but it looks like the CR85 master cylinder is 50mm and the CR85 caliper is about 64mm. I guess that is a big no go without some fab work.

I would use the complete rear caliper bracket as well, but the CR85 has an offset tab that keeps the caliper from spinning where as the NSR tab is in line with the axle. The CR85 also uses a 14mm axle and a 190mm rear rotor, so you would have to press a sleeve into the axle hole, and order up an aftermarket 190mm rotor. The NSR rear caliper and bracket is like $120, which isn't horrible. I guess I will have to see if they are still available.

Re: NSR Rear Caliper.

I used a CR80 master once on my Over rearsets that are made for the NSR master. It lined up perfectly.

Re: NSR Rear Caliper.

Thanks man, I guess I will have to give it a shot. I am going to look for a used nsr rear caliper and bracket before dropping the cash on a new one. Anyone have one for sale?
