Skyteam wiring help

Engine was swapped out in my Skyteam ST90 to a Thumpstar 120cc E-start engine. Engine is swapped everything is in, bike starts on first kick but the headlight, brake light & horn is not working. I'm looking for a wiring diagram for the bike or anyone that can help me with this. I went back to the thread where Daddysmut did the swap in his skyteam and the wiring info he listed there, followed that but still nothing. What am I doing wrong? Could it be a blown fuse? Ground wire? Power invertor?

Re: Skyteam wiring help

Sorry to bump an old thread. After much frustration and trying to contemplate parting it out, getting it sold as a whole or investing more money into fixing it, I finally discovered that the Skyteam ST90 simply is not compatible w/an E-start engine. There's no DC output from the bike. Is there any type of assembly, converter, something I can get to put on the bike to get this rectified? The bike will not stay charged because of this.

Re: Skyteam wiring help

The rectifier is mounted on the frame under the tank. (front-left)
Did you put a fuse in the fuse holder? (glass fuse, 12V 10A slow)

For the E-start version you need a different ( >= 2005) throttle-switch cluster. that one has a starter button on the spot where the kill switch is now.

Or you just put a starter switch somewhere on your handlebars or frame, run a wire from (ignitionswitch)orange to switch and another wire from switch to starter relay.
For an e-start engine you also need a starter relay with the thicker wires. green going directly from battery(-) to startermotor and red going from battery(+) to startrelay and from startrelay to startermotor.

Re: Skyteam wiring help

I found out that 2 wires on the harness for the voltage regulator was bad. Bike seems to be working now and putting out DC, yes!!
