ST90 cam chain adjustment

Hi,

I am new to this forum, but it looks like a useful place!

I have just bought a nearly new Skyteam ST90 with just 40 miles on the clock. It was a real bargain! It was also typical Chinese work... nothing adjusted correctly, and a lot of things loose. I have been through most things now and it is a transformed machine.

I have a suspicion that the cam chain is a little loose, but have no manual to give adjustment instruction, and find conflicting info in an old C50, C70, C90 Haynes manual. In one place the manual says cam chain adjustment is automatic, but in all the exploded views of the different cam chain tensioners, and adjustment screw is shown. There is some kind of spring loaded tensioner in the bottom left side of the crankcase. Please can anyone tell me what adjustment is required and how to get it right?

Other questions:
Are stronger springs available for the front forks?
Can the front disc brake be improved?... softer pads, perhaps?

Thanks in advance for any help !
