My Mood: | ZB50 for $1000
I'm going to look at a ZB50 today and since i have never seen one in person i wanted some advice on what to look at and if you think this is a good deal. The good: Bike has only 392 miles and is 95% complete Titled and was PNO the last few years The bad: Missing front blinkers Dented gas tank but has minimal rust on the inside Bike was never run by current owner so he says the previous owner told him all the lights work and engine runs but who knows The seller said it is slightly molested due to the previous owners kid riding it He is asking $1000 which from my research seems like a good price So if i buy this and worst case scenario the lights and engine don't work or the wiring is F'd is it still a good deal? ![]() ![]() Last edited by 50ryder420; 08-04-2009 at 02:04 PM. |

Yes. The gas tank is obsolete from what I recall, or it's just ungodly expensive, so depending on what you are planning on doing with it that might be a fairly large expense.

title in hand is already a plus. Just make sure the frame isn't all beat and the swinger isn't bent. Maybe make sure the lock set is all there. You should have a pretty good start to a resto mod.

Looks like the speedo is cracked. Make sure the speedo isn't busted and the bike has a gazillion miles on it. Speedos aren't easy to find in good condition. Make sure the headlamp works unless you want to go aftermarket. They have a sealed beam and it's obsolete. If you plan on restomodding it, you'll end up using the frame and wiring harness so make sure the frame isn't bent and the wiring harness isn't all hacked up |

I bought it and there was a title cause its now in my name. 87 bucks later i have the tags as well. Speedo is not cracked it was a reflection in the picture. I am going to start another thread about it i just don't have a working camera at the moment. The bike is in pretty decent shape
