Will the ZB50 engine accept the top ends (88cc, etc) made for the newer CRF50?

My guess is that the ZB50 should accept the modern bits.

Is this true?

it is essentially the same engine and the answer is yes I think they will. but why not track down a CRF50 engine get a lighting stator, 88bbk etc... and bolt it into the zb50?

12 volt cdi motor just like the crf and xr so it will take the same BBK's.
