Thumbs down Norway Stud - An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

I bought a Pitster Pro front end from Norway Stud for $460 almost four months ago now. He said it was brand new which it wasn't at all, see scratch pics. It took 3 weeks to get the front end, and when I received it the fork legs were sticking out of the box on one side, bars sticking out the other. He said it was professionally packed, but inside the box were pieces of an old box with his name on it - not sure how that got in there if they pro packed it. Anyways, the front axle is missing two wheel spacers, one of which was replaced by about 10 small spacers, the other was just not included. The bearing situation was a mess. I thought at first he had just sent the wrong top bearing, but after finally purchasing the bearing set from pax with no cooperation from MR. Stud, I realized all that I was missing. He gave me the completely wrong bottom bearing (looks like the stock pitster one) and the bearing he had for the top was actually the bottom bearing in the pax set, minus the metal sleeve that makes the whole thing tight! He also said the front end was rebuilt by Feal with heavy weight oil and they feel exactly the same as my buddies stock pitster's. After finally getting the front end working, after a few rides the front brake turned to mush and I realized from all the dirt caked on the master cylinder that it was leaking, I have now purchased a KX85 front brake to replace that. After all of this I wanted a mear $50 to cover a tiny portion of the brake, wheel spacers, and bearings, not to mention the fact that it was supposedly brand new and in fact has many scratches and nics all over. The forks also seem to be discolored, all my friends agree, tell me what you think from these pics. DONT EVER BUY FROM THIS GUY, HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO CONCERN FOR IF YOU GET THE RIGHT PARTS OR NOT. He is also way to dumb and ignorant to understand your problems, he had no idea after seeing the pictures how this was the wrong bearing.

Here is the spacer I had to buy at Ace, check out the rusted bolt from my "New" front end...

These are all the spacers included to compensate for the lack of wheel spacer, also check out the broken off bolt in the fork guard...

Some scratches, also look at how the red anodize on my "new" forks has faded already...

The worst part about this is with the money I spent I could have gotten Zoke's from someone who knew what they were doing!

Re: Norway Stud - An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

Why didn't you do a Paypal dispute and send them pieces of ca ca back to him? I checked the thread and it's only been 2 months and 2 weeks since you paid him through Paypal. And what about pictures? If I was gonna spend any amount of money I would wanna see macro close up shots of the parts with the flash on(flash reveals all!). He's still a bad seller though. Too many excuses and those do NOT look like they've only been mounted and taken off. They are used like a mofo. I vote a perma ban for Norway stud as well. Post up his whole name so he can't come back and scam anymore people.

I should have made a paypal claim, but the reality is once I actually received the items and figured out what I needed to get it running it was too late. I think this is his plan with the stuff he sells - to ship it out weeks later so that the buyer has already almost passed the 30 day claim period. As far as the pictures go, that was my fault, I saw them on his bike and for some reason trusted that they were just mounted. The funny thing is that if you sent a brand new front end, packaged like he had it, with a few pieces of newspaper, it would have the same amount of scratches.

The scumbags full name is Wade Jacobson out of Hollister, California. How do we get this guy banned?

Talk to "Z", the moderator on these boards. P.S. The moment you saw that it wasn't in new condition is the moment you should've did the claim. Actually, you shoulda did it before that. If you don't receive a tracking number within 3 days I say make a claim. I'll tell you the real reason why he takes so long to ship your stuff..Besides trying to get past the claim period he was trying to transfer all the funds to his bank account(then probably take it out to put in another bank) so when they try to reach into his account to give you a refund all he's gonna have is 0.57 cents for you. If you make a claim right away then Paypal freezes those funds till something can be resolved.

Yeah..why not? If a seller is willing to take $460 of his hard earned money then he'd better have that part packed up and ready to ship as soon as the money is in his account. 1-2 days..sure, it could've been late in the day when he sent the money or maybe something popped up so it's cool. 3 days tells me that he's somewhat of a irresponsible person that has no regards for other people's money. Some people even wait a month for their part and that's insane to me how anyone could allow it. It only takes 30 minutes at the most to ship something. Gotta get to work early in the morning? Wake your ass up earlier and get to the post office. Post office not open that early? Take some time from your lunch break. It's not that freakin' hard. P.S. To clarify, I don't mean 3 days to receive the parts but 3 days after payment to receive a tracking number.

Re: Norway Stud - An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

BTW I'm talking mainly about high dollar parts. I can understand if you sell a lot of lower priced parts and wanna wait till there's enough parts sold so it's a worthwhile trip to the post office but if someone puts 300-400 dollars in your pocket for one or two items then the least you can do is take some time from your day to ship off the part and reassure(tracking #) the buyer that his part's are on the way.

Re: Norway Stud - An ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!

HaiSpeedZ50r, 3 days seems like a bit much, but really it isn't, what your saying is all true and I wish more people thought like that. It really doesn't take long at all to pack and ship anything. I figured he was just semi busy but mostly lazy. I should have never just assumed and hoped it would be ok. I just don't understand why he doesn't get the fact that being honest and selling exactly what you described feels good and leaves you with a clear concious and quick and easy sales.

I have the forks mounted now after getting the Pax kit, but I am still dealing with the brake issue and for now have to bleed it like every ride. They feel great so I am just going to run them. The only thing I want to do now is get this guy banned. He has no regard for anyone else's money and has nothing but excuses.

ALSO, everyone needs to leave bad feedback on Norway stud's profile: http://planetminis.com/itrader.php?u=21049 and make as many complaints about him as you can!
