SHIPPING PARTS<>PROVIDE tracking #s

When buying parts sellers should include tracking #s! This way both buyer and seller knows where his parts are in transit?? After shipping the part tracking # should be emailed to buyer much easier safer and sense of relief. Is their anyone else who would like to comment on this?

I agree. I always include tracking #s when selling. It provides peace of mind for the buyer that just paid in full for an item. It will also stop any dispute over when something shipped or how long it should take to arrive.

If you, as a seller do not, you run the risk of losing Paypal battles. Just make sure you bake the cost of shipping, insurance, and tracking into your prices.

I almost always use the send email to recepient option when I ship...works out good...buyers stay happy that way...it gives them the feeling that you actually give a poo and are not just out for their money........

Even the free Delivery Confirmation Number that the U.S. Postal Service provides is an indication to the buyer that their merchandise is in the System, somewhere between point A and point B.

Ya thats the one i do and I asked today if thats the tracking number and they said sort of. It cost extra though.

Seems like everyone wants to use usps? It might cost more for ups but the tracking system is much better imo. It's rediculous to just send a pckg out and where she goes nobody no's method? But like it was mentioned pay pal has your back!

I forget, once in a while, to send the info, but they ususally get an email. Or their aunt or what ever card holder paid will

PayPal USPS shipping doesn't usually show progress, unless your carrier picks it up and scans it. Drop-off's at the PO won't get scanned, in my experience.

Using USPS site to ship will show the updates. You set up an account. I use my PP card, anyway. It still may not be UPS quality tracking, but it shows that something's happening. Free carrier pickup, free priority boxes sent to your house, and the priority flat-rate boxes, in several sizes and costs, are awesome. Same price, to all 50 states, regardless of weight(no need for scale) same cost.

I think paypal is the root of all evil and I'll do everything I can to prevent taking $$ through paypal as a seller.

I ship the majority of parts through fedex ground with insurance and signature delivery these days and provide tracking numbers. I lost a very expensive package earlier this year that was delivered to the wrong address and fedex showed the box as being delivered and wouldn't honor the insurance. I didn't have signature delivery on the package. The buyer can pay these costs if they wish to do business.

And for those of you who won't do business with people who don't take $$ through paypal, I honestly don't need the business that bad.

Too many people dispute paypal transactions these days for no reason other then being grossly impatient and not doing their homework on who they are doing business with.
