Looks like I'll be eatin' plenty. My name's Kevin, I'm 51 and from nw PA. Been takin' out track banners and tree bark for 43 years. Started in flat track and dirt scrambles, on a Honda CL100 but got into mx at 14, with the new 125 Elsinore. Mostly mx from there, except for an occasional hare scrambles, flat track and cross country. Worked my way up through all the displacement classes but I've been riding open class 2-strokes (CR480) for the last 27 years, though I actually quit formal racing in '87. Nowadays, I mostly just playride on tracks and in the woods with my '83 CR480 or XR650L.
My son and some friends are into the pit bike thing and I used to rag on them incessantly. Somewhere along the line, things got weird and I somehow ended up with a 192cc Pitster Pro, one of the Vegas bikes.
Not sure how this is all gonna' work out 'coz for me, it's a pretty drastic change in riding style. Still, despite occasionally launching myself off the track and into the cheap seats....it's all been kinda' fun, so far.
