| what bike for my 2 girlz?
Ok the time has finally come. I have 2 girls that are 6 and 9 and Im ready to get them started. However, way to many choices crf50, crf70, klx110???? I mean I am able to make decissions but geesh. So I am hopping that someone on here has gone thru the process before and can give me some credible ideas. They have never ridden before. I look forward to any and all feed back. thanks

How tall are they and how much do they weigh? If their bigger get them on the 70's. 50's are great bikes, but are outgrown my many too fast. Not saying that its not fun to ride or anything, but a 70 can be more practical for alot longer time.

110. KLXs are really rider friendly as starter bikes and your kids will have soo much more fun as they get the hang of it. No need to worry about too much power either because they also come with the throttle limiter screws so you can start them off slow until they're ready to let em rip. Dont worry about height either. The seat can always be cut down to accommodate for a smaller rider.

thanks for the ideas because i was thinking the same thing the 50 for the 6 yr old and the 70 for the 9. My only concern now is since they are both so damn competitive is how to teach them how 2 start safe and slowly. both of these bikes have the governor system right? If my youngest gets on she will pinn it right off the bat (im confident she can handle it but mom will panic) lol

I dont think a 6 yr old girl could ride a klx110 especially if they've never ridden a bike period. Get a crf50 and possibly even slap the training wheels on it. Worst thing you want to do is throw em on a bike and have them crash and be turned off from bikes. Ease them into it! Plus you can limit the throttle on the 50 (maybe the 70 too not sure) with the throttle adjust screw so when they first try it even if they crank on the throttle it would only apply like 1/4 throttle etc... |

We have an 8 & 9 year old. They ride 110s and yes these were their first bikes. Our 9 year old is so tall that she could not ride anything smaller. Our 8 year old boy was not having a bike smaller than his sister's |

| Re: what bike for my 2 girlz? Don't worry about your wife because she is going to panic all the time thats how moms are. My mom was a nervous wreck when i got a ttr 90 because her co worker's son was killed on a bike. My mom was pissed when my dad bought it for me but she learned to deal with it.
