the sprocket has to be custom made because the crf150r runs a 420 chain and the new crf250r runs a 520. so i needed a 150r sprocket but in 520 pitch. so here ya are. PMPsprockets - Home these guys are awesome. any sprocket any size shape color pitch. to these peeps it dosent matter. and i paid 50 bucks shipped and it was at my door in 3 days. and io live in hawaii. impressive i think. |

A member here built the frame. It's almost bolt and go. Very little needs to be custom made other than the frame. And everything from the 150r swaps over except the motor carb wiring and headed pipe.

Thanks man I appreciate the work. Did ya get a chance to send that header. Total build cost is 1500 that is for everything. Motor was sent out yesterday so I'm hoping to have it smoking tires by next weekend.

well here it is as of today. i have a few things to work out but the main thing is the radiators. the bottom elbows need to be removed and relocated to the front of the rads. so there wont be a clearance issue. i had a few other little bumps in the road. the carb was hitting the frame a bit and had to cut part of the carb off where the cables connect. but the rubber boot covers it. and the fuel valve was hitting the valve cover. so i sanded the corner of the valve and also added 2 washers under the tank mounts on each side. its super close but its not hitting. i also took the stock swingarm spacers and machined them down. i had to take the right one and machine it down and install it in the left and vice versa. i dont have the dimentions in front of me. fits like a glove. also the bushings in the 250r motor are alot larger than the 150r is so either a reducer needs to be installed inside the 250r aft mount or you can do what i did. i called a friend and he had some bushings that are reduced already. |
