bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

Is it possible to put bbr's rear linkage and have an modified rear shock on crf 150f. The linkage lines up on bottom and bolts together but top of shock will not fit under frame flange on frame. Should i bend up flange a bit ? Will it fit then and line up for bolt? Anyone have both 80 shock and rear bbr linkage set up on their bikes? Please advise?

Don't bend anything! Is it possible you have the triangle part in backwards?

I didnt take that part out. I just put in new shock modified from reger and then used for a while, then bought new linkage and it wont quite fit. I had shock on and then tried to line linkage at bottom and swingarm wouldnt fall down cause shock top bolt was holding it up, took out shock top bolt and bottom links lined up, now cant get top shock to fit under frame flange and line up for bolt!!

with the 80 shock, it is quite a bit longer than the stock shock. I don't think that you will need the extra height. I eyed it up on my bike as well. with the link it is the sides of the upper shock mount that his the shock.. i thought about dremeling the shock a bit to get it to fit.

Re: bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

Even with the CR85 shock shortened to the stock shock length I had to remove about 1/8" of the upper shock mount bracing, with a small dremel sanding drum, to get everything lined up with the BBR linkage. The shock ended up being too soft, even with the stiffer spring, for my weight...not sure if I will get it re-valved or sell it.

Re: bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

the heaviest spring that I have found is the 2bros 150r spring a 7kg... according to Odi at Feal, for someone that weighs 175. the spring should be 10kg.. anybody know someone to wind a 10kg spring?

Re: bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

you will need to grind a bit of metal off of the upper shock mount brace as Airmaxx23 said.I tried the bbr heavy spring on my 85 shock as well and it was still way too soft.
You will also have to move the lower mount hole on the shock up,the shock is too long. The eye to eye length that i cut mine to is 15".
My wifes cousin was running a stock 80 shock and the bike felt perfect,I'm not sure if he had the bbr linkage in it or not but it was nice.
Keep us updated on the install.

Re: bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

I decided to return bbr linkage and put stock one on. I will post pics of bike soon, it is sick almost everything u can do to crf 150f.(forks, bars, shock, rims, carb kit, powder coat, bling) I had factory connection revalve shock and it still is too soft...Geeez looks good, but not quite right yet.

Re: bbr rear linkage, HELP ASAP!

did they revalve the stocker or the cr85 shock? what spring did they use? I had Feal do my stocker with the BBR spring and it feels pretty good
