Lightbulb Crf150r....How quiet?

Hey guys,

I am sort of looking for a bigger mini for my backyard. I have a ttr125 right now but practially murdered it. Engine needs work and the frame is wiggling around. Bottom line is its gonna take serious money to fix and would rather start fresh.

And I was wondering how quiet I could get a 150r. I would need this thing damn quiet...like the level of an xr250 or something like that. Even if it takes away from the power. Is that possible?

if you like muffled it more with something like a quiet core then it would have more torque down low and less top end. I have no clue how loud they are but they are pretty loud ive seen on youtube

They are NOT quiet. Not as loud as my 250f but pretty loud. I guess you could have fmf or somone make you a super quiet insert. Or see if bbr makes the cancel core for it.

150Rs are just raspy and untamed. Never should it be used as a backyard play bike, you'll hate it. Stick to the small bore trail bikes, They're always a blast.

Yeah thats kinda what I want tho....raspy and untamed. I am getting back into motocross and want to be able to come home and bae able to ride and get better and be able to "moto" in my backyard.

Lol, I suppose it could work out.....with the proper gearing and maybe tie a rag around the silencer for noise reduction.

Mine was somewhat loud stock, kind of average, but now with the Jardine RT-5 system it's so loud hurts my ears. Kind of good, kind of bad
