I am a newbie you could say. My dad does not know much about racing suspension he is a trail man. I have a crf150rb and i have no idea on how to set up much. Im a pretty aggressive rider but not man enough for big double. I just ride at our local track very often. Can some one help with a quick tutorial on suspension and any other setting important.

the best way is to have yor clickers all the way out. then do a few laps turning them in 3 or 4 times every time you go out. eventually you will find a nice setup and be good to go. you could get it all rebuilt profesionally but unless your a real racer you wont notice it |

Get out your manual - find out where your fork clickers are for compression and rebound. See where they are on the shock for compression and rebound. Look and see in your manual where it says your "sag" should be on your rear shock with you sitting on the bike - then start working set your rear sag before anything else. Once the rear sag is set go out and ride the bike. Are you bottoming the forks all the time? Is the shock bottoming? If so, let me know. What about rebound is the bike trying to kick you over the handlebars because the rear end is kicking up? Note all those things... and come tell us - I'll help you out. ----------- The easiest way to get started is 1) adjust your rear shock sag. Ride the bike is it bottoming front or rear? Try going TWO CLICKS STIFFER ON YOUR COMRESSION CLICKER (read your manual) Ride your bike again and see if it feels better. Unlike a pitbike you never want to loosen everything all the way out... - because with the power and speed you're capable of making etc, if you have no compression damping and no rebound you could hit a jump face, blow through the stroke bottom out super hard and then it can rebound so quickly that you'll end up endo'ing off a jump! ALWAYS START AT MANUFACTURES RECOMMENDATIONS... or go to DirtRider mag or Transworld MX mag on-line and do a search and see if they have any suggestions in a test of your bike. But I'll be glad to help you out as much as possible here on-line. One of the BEST things you can do is go talk to a rider that is better than you on the same bike at the track - a LOT better. Find a mini expert that has stock suspension and see what his dad says... if he has a clue he can help you out for your track. Without seeing the track, your speed etc, it makes it hard to help you.
