What fuel should I run in my 150r?

I have a stock 2008 crf150rb and I was wondering what fuel I should run in it.

Haha JK. 91 Premium is the standard stuff. If a higher octane is available in your state, go for it.

IMO race fuel is a waste of money. It just gets your exhaust smelling good.

Re: What fuel should I run in my 150r?

run your premium pump gas where you live

(some places it will be 91, some as high as 98 depending on your elevation etc..)

You don't need race gas. Didn't need a race bike, either, though...

Re: What fuel should I run in my 150r?

depending on what you can afford and whats available in your area choose one type of fuel and stick with it for the life of the motor.

92 is just fine in a stock motor thats what it was designed to run with, i like adding a fuel additive called Hi-Test made my Maxima to 92 fuel, seems to quiet the valve train a bit and spice up the quality of the fuel that has been sitting in the tanks for a while.

For higher compression motors, 13.5:1 ++ run these
As for race fuel, Sunoco 110 leaded is affordable for race fuel, it does a good job of cooling the motor with the leaded additives. Plus is smells good!

The best fuel i vote you can buy is VP U4.2 it is very expensive but the dyno doesnt lie, best results with this fuel for sure, just higher maintenance, u might drain your carb after every use. If they made this fuel as a colonge.... Id wear it

PUMP GAS is where its at. Race gas hardly ever makes any of my bikes go faster.

Re: What fuel should I run in my 150r?

91 octane pump fuel. And I don't know what dyno you guys are using but compared to a lot of other race fuels VP U4.2 sucks balls. U4 was awesome but gummed up and needed drained so they created 4.2 which isn't supposed to be as hard on o-rings and need drained as soon. I haven't seen gains with 4.2 over high quality pump fuel. Only a harder time keeping jetting correct and more expensive fill up. MR9 and others will blow U4.2 away on the dyno. We dumped out the last 2 gallons of 4.2 we had because it was too much of a pain in the azz to even setup the practice bikes with it to burn through the stuff. U4.2 is marketed to motocross racers because they don't have as much access to dyno and other equipment to check the internet claims of many.
