124se vs built klx 110

I just wanted to know if the 124se motor in a 14/12 midsized bike could complete with built klx 110s in the open class????

How does this motor compare to top notch klx builds?? Just wanted to start racing pretty seriously and am weighing my odds...

The 124se is fast! but it can't touch a well built 110.

Re: 124se vs built klx 110

A well built 124se ported, with good gearing etc, etc, in my opinion will keep up with most well built 110s. A year ago at the MoM finally costlla's 119 was stomped 195cc 110's. But it was a 4 valve 119 and costella riding.

I've ridden both. I'll start with the 124se that I road, it was in a Pitster 12/14 x4. The motor had an exceptional port job and was running a 28mm carb, and had perfect gearing. It was really smooth power that was usable anywhere, tight sections or wide open sections I couldn't believe it.

As for My buddy's 195 110 "scut 178 with crank" IS INSANE. I don't even know how to explain how crazy the bike is but I felt that the amount of usable power vs just out of control power is where it lacked, if that makes sense.

anyway just my O2.

How do you think the 124se motor would weigh up against a yx 160 with bolt on mods speed and power wise???

Come to Sam's Klub tomorrow and ride dustin's SE head yx160 and find out how you like the head.... a torque king.... and compare it to Sam's V2 head yx160....

and quit crying!

I would go for the 124se cuz it would outlast the 160 by a long shot. But i have just had bad luck with yx engines.

124se would beat a 160 gpx and definitely outlast it
