| 70 Build Has Officially Started!
Just got the frame back from the fab shop. Shock mount welded on (used one of slow racer's designs as inspiration). Also had 3.5 degrees of rake taken out of the head tube (was able to do it without losing any frame length). So Far: -Billetware CRF70 Frame -BBR SuperPro +5 swingarm -Elka Shock w/ remote reservoir -Marzocchi CRF70 Forks Coming This Week: -BBR Rear Disc Brake Kit and Wheel -BBR Front Brake Upgrade -Various other necessities -The rest of the build Don't have a motor yet, still trying to decide what to do. I'm thinking Daytona 150cc T-Rex. What do you guys think about that motor? Any other suggestions would be great. Here are some pics (sorry about the 10" rear wheel, I had to put it on so the bike wouldn't fall off the cart |

Looks like a pretty big bike. Nice start. How old is that swing arm?

Not sure of exact age. Definitely a few years old since they don't make that swinger anymore. Bought it from knucklehead on here

Cool cool. BBR is quality so as long as it is in good shape I'm sure it will work awesome. Have you thought about getting one of the bling reservoir mounts?

not sure what the "bling" reservoir mount is. It'll be behind plastic/under fender anyways so would it be seen?

Build looks good. You should fab up a mount for that reservoir since you have access to the welder.

Nice start mang!... I'm thinking about doing a 70 too... I thought the billetware frame came with the shock mount already done? or is it only on the newer cradle style frame. I was thinking of welding and strengthening the oem frame, any thoughts on that? |

Billetware frame only has mount for a-style swing arm. If you want a mono swingarm you have to fab up a mount. A lot of people do strengthen the stock frame and it does well. I went with the billetware for the cradle & longer neck. This was an old post, bike has been done for some time now. Here is a completed pic.... |

Actually Billetware does make a frame for the "big bike" style swinger. It's not on their web sight but you call them and ask for it. It's the same price.
