| clutch dont know when to stop
i just replaced 2nd gear in my 2003 xr70. with engine back in bike, the clutch will not dissengage when going into gear. i have removed and inspected the clutch several times, i do not see any ware on anything. the plates/fibers look fine. it is acting like it has a mannual clutch with the cable broken. btw the bike shifts fine. i get the bike rolling while in neutral and running, put bike in 1st and take off. it will go though the gears fine, just dont stop. i am stuck on what is causing the clutch not dissengage. i have tried adjusting it, counter clock wise till resistance, back 1/4 turn. any help will be great!!!!

check to ensure the arm that comes off the shift rod is engaging the clutch correctly ...that arm is what causes the clutch to disengage from the tranny

Sure you didn't over-tighten the nut? That can bind things up.
