I have a crf70 and have just put on the tb kit with race head. I noticed that my timing is not lining up on the head .... I have everything correct and its showing up right b4 marking or after . Its like it right in between and is making it wrong like it has no ass on bottom but is fast on top........ is there a cam sprocket I was suppose to get with this kit ?????? Thanks for your help

Did you replace the timing chain?

When this happens I always set them below the mark instead of above it. | |

The cam sprocket HAS to be twice the number of teeth that are on the crank-mounted drive sprocket, otherwise you'll throw your timing right down the crapper in 1RPM. Honda is usually 28-14 and the China ones are 32-16 |

360/28=12.85-ish Below is advancing the cam, above is retarding it from "correct". 70's seem to wear chains. A replacement is $15 and usually gets you back on-center. Odd deck heights, cut heads, etc will alter it, too.

Yep, you run the Honda setup for more top end, and the Chinese setup for more low-end grunt...
