Frame brace - what do you think?

I had a go at bracing the frame on my 01 xr70. Do you think it will help? Is that a good way to do it?

Honestly? I thinkit looks good. Looks like you addressed the issue of the head tube. i Had an XR50 that I managed to stretch the frame out on with my massive girth ha ha

Looks solid though man.

Now get it all PC'ed black or white and your set

I'm worried about your carb clearance too. And you might have to find some interesting way to fit your wiring/rev box because they usually sit above the motor.

I was worried about the carb clearance too. I checked it a few times before i actually welded anything to the frame. The top of the carb only has about 2mm of space between it and the brace.
My rev box is behind the side panel on the 70.

You should have cut the head tube angle also.

Re: Frame brace - what do you think?

yeah that should do the trick, but damn them some ugly bubble gum welds!! :P

Although they look no worse than the factory welds on the frame haha dont matter long as she holds!
