| Questions regarding evolution of the 70cc engine
I'm looking at buying a 1986 TRX70 that needs some engine parts. I'm wondering if this engine has changed much over the years - from the late 70's/early 80's until now. Would the parts still be interchangeable? I know that it specifically needs the stator and trigger replaced for one. Thanks for any info. |

Thanks - very helpful site. When was the switch from a 6V to 12V ignition?

I think they switched in 1982.

Will any current 12V stator assembly work on the older 70's? Is it the same as the 50's?
