| Suspension Help
I have recently come across a '98 70. Everything is, well, okay for now except for the suspension. My issue is in the turns. I catch the footpegs everytime. I would like to raise the bike up, but I don't want to sacrifice the stock appearance of the bike (i.e. extended swingarm, etc...). Do I go with a ishock in the back and BBR springs and dampers up front? How much higher will this raise the bike? This is my first attempt at keeping a pit bike "near stock/stock appearing"...lol. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jeff |

Jeff Stiffer springs will hold the bike higher and help keep it from sagging. BBR Damping rods up front will give you more travel as well as raising the front some. A longer shock with adjustible preload will be a must for the back. Just make sure you dont get one of the ones with a 1,000 lbs rate spring. Those are for the bikes with the big bike type swing arms. I gotta tell you though, I dont see any way your going to gain much cleareance trying to keep a stock look to your 70. |

I have accepted that I will have to switch to a different swingarm. I am going to swap the front forks with a XR80 set...so that leaves the shock and swingarm situation. Any suggestions? BTW, I am in the process of building a track in my back yard...I noticed that you don't live too far from me in Georgia.
