changing to 10w 30w should not of caused it to start smoking....maybe unless there is too much oil in it

just stand the bike up level..pull out the dip stick, clean it off and screw it back in all the way, remove it again and see where the oil registers on the stick....(pls excuse me if I insulted your intellegence..did not mean to)

even if you put extra virgin olive oil in it, that still wouldnt make it all of a sudden start smoking

Its oil for all gas vehicles ( lawnmower, car etc..). Tomarrow I'm going to drain it and put in some good 10w 40 synthetic. If it still continues to smoke do you guys think it could be somthing in the topend like rings or oil seals?

Dude only use motorcycle oil in motorcycles.......they don't have the additives and are designed to work with the wet clutches.....CAR OIL IS NOT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Yeah just buy some basic motorcycle oil 10-40 dont put synthetic in it. Even if you put car oil in it, it shouldnt be smoking all of a sudden...sure you didnt poor the oil in the gas tank? :P |

run motorcycle oil, car oil more likely than not is choked full of friction modifiers and make it to slippery for these motors. synthetic is worse.

if its the rings which it probably is dont use any ring sealer like for cars i had the same problem and it got worst just buy a new piston and rings and it should stop the whole thing
