a 12 bar isnt going to help with wheelies.... i dont have one, but want one. my buddy has one and it really doesnt make a difference besides you cut your legs when you loop it |

Sure you can get a 12 bar for stunting in grass, I'm sure your mom would love help digging up the yard.

what do you wanna put holes in the ground and stop short? a 12 bar will dig into dirt like a shovel lol..i personally cant stand 12 bars and thinks its one of the gayest things to do to a 50. if you wanna 12 something buy a street bike and have at it..think of it this way, you fall off a 50 in a sit down your ONLY a foot off the ground, are you that worried of falling 12 inches to the ground? also like R6 said they dice up your legs like crazy but whats worse is flipping a stoppie and takin it in the back, most likely you'll need so stitching done at the ER. a few of our boys here that flipped street bikes with 12 bars(before round bars were made) have these big gashes on their back or shoulders that look like the ugliest vagina you've ever seen haha

when you get your big bar kit and the handbrake, wheelies will be so much easier so i dont think you need a 12 bar

a 12 bar will help protect you plastic from getting broken and if you decide to hit the street its neat to be able to scrape. i run one and have yet to get really hurt by it cause you learn to get out of the way before it bites you

IMO a 12 bar isn't a necessity, depends on your style and skills.. the main reason other than scraping for a 12 bar is to brace the subframe thats meant for 7 year olds to handle us when we're bashing around on them SS and ****.. If you have the cash and want a 12 bar do'er up but just watch out for meat cleaver in stoppies

I run a 12 on my fiddy... like "brap!" says, its added protection for your bike... Its a problem on big bikes (street bikes like my F4i) when doing stoppies, cause it can "bite" ya... Are yu doing stoppies? But stoppies on the fiddy, being so small, its not so bad... you'll get used to it, and learn to get yourself out of the way... and the first time you "loop it" in a wheelie, just hit your rear brake HARD, and maybe you'll scrap that 12... haha.... If you do, make like you meant it, and thank the 12 bar for saving your plastic and your tail... |
