| Getting a project 50!!!! need advice on stunt parts
We'll i sold that junky 50 i picked up and am getting up a project 50. I am looking to Learn better RB control on this and then move on to my F4i. I figure its gonna be a lot cheaper to get circles on lock on the 50 than my bigbike lol. Most of it is stock so again I'm looking for advice on what to get so i can stunt this thing. I am 6"1 210lb so I am guessing a need a new spring/shock but what is recommended. I am looking for the best quality for cheap haha. I did up a little list of what im thinking so far: 1. Do you guys suggest getting just an upgraded spring or shock? and where would i get that for a good price. I have heard a new spring is much cheaper and works just as well but where do i get them. Also are the shocks on ebay legit? probably not lol 2.Then im thinking i need to beef up the forks/bars. I am thinking BBR risers and bars but where can i get a good deal on em? any other suggestions. WHere do i get the upgraded springs i hear about and how do i lengthen them +1". I have heard of this but dont know much about it. Again im not a little boy and i wanna be rolling stoppies as far as possible. 3. I need a handbrake set up and stunt pegs any recommendations again looking for cheap quality lol. 4. Street Tires.....what are some decent Cheap tires you guys recommend and where can i get em? 5. 88cc KIT I have no idea about this but i need one cheap. HOw much do they go for? Is it really worth it to upgrade? Thats pretty much it I got about $200-300 hundo to work with so everything needs to total out to that. I am transferring funds into my paypal so i can start buying parts next weekend. !!!! LET ME KNOW IF YOU GOT SOME STUFF LAYING AROUND!!!!!! Last edited by *kingpin*; 11-26-2009 at 10:03 PM. |

2-300 will not get ya too far boss....the stock 50 tires do okay on the street just not well on the dirt...pick up some shinkos or innovas..they are inexpensive...probably putting a heavier springs in your stock suspension will help out for now...should change out the fork sliders and bushings up front too.....put an 88 kit on 4sho....helps in the torque down low...better with a ported E22 head and a mild cam...do not spend any on exhaust just yet...the stocker with the baffle pulled out will do fine and u will not lose any low end grunt

yah 2-300 hundred isnt much if I'm buying new but im sure its doable to get the basics if some members have stuff laying around and are willing to sell. A guy i ride with pimped out his 50 for realllll cheap after a couple of people gave him some good deals on used parts and such. IDK hopefully i just really want to get out there and start learning

| Re: Getting a project 50!!!! need advice on stunt parts 50 STUNT.COM, HOME OF SUPERMOTO STREETSTYLE alot of people stunt stock (takes more skill). i have stunt pegs, street tires, big bars and a handbrake. thats all I need. i had one I dropped a few g's into and with an 88 wheelies are effortless. As far as transferring to the F4ez the concepts are the same but stunting a big bike is alot different imo. Just play with it stock and grab stuff as you can afford it. I'd do bars and tires first the go from there.

Get 50stunt stunt parts. I bought a cheap hand brake and it is just a pile of sh it. If you want it let me know what you are willing to pay. It is brand new, I just decided it wasn't worth eating dirt over a couple bucks. To get started stunting just get a big bar kit, mount some street tires, throw on some stunt pegs and you are good to go. Once you start rocking balance point wheelies and circles you can throw the hand brake on.

unbreakable shifter, you wont regret it (not the tbr, that broke on the first fall!!) the stock bars totally bent after two almost/not really bad falls, and the 50 stunt bars definitely do make a surprising difference in how easy it is to wheelie, along with looking sick and IRC MB38 tires are a good, cheap investment. stunt pegs and handbrake: don't get pegs without the handbrake, or even at all until riding wheelies is "fluent". the handbrake can be useful for gently controlling your wheelies even if you are seated. |

I think 50 stunt is by far the best bar kit, not ever gonna break on you. and they are one of the cheaper brands, $190

i have a set nice set of Haro BMX bars. black with an 8" rise.instead of buyin a bar kit make your own and have what you like. honda crazi 116 has a carb cap,a cable is $10,pick out a billet throttle, brake lever and an upper triple clamp. people let clamps go cheap on here
