| More wheelie advice needed. When I wheelie on my fiddy is it best to A) roll into to it and ride out the wheelie B) twist the throttle 100% and get to the BP as fast as I can then try to keep it at the BP It seems like when I do (A) it comes up smooth but most of the time will not get to the BP and I run out of gear. When I try doing it the (B) sometimes the bike will come up fast and send me into a wild turkey, however when I get to the BP I can ride the wheelie longer and more controlled. In both A and B it seems like when I let of the gas there is no turning back the front wheel is going down. Do you guys just keep the gas full blast and use the foot brake. I'm doing this standing on a stock 50 left foot on back peg and right foot on the peg/rear brake. Thank Guys for any input….. Last edited by i h8 winter; 03-31-2009 at 08:46 AM. |

Get to BP as quick as possible and just practice being smooth on the throttle. You shouldn't be riding your brake or using it fulltime, just tapping it occassionally if needed.

yeah its easier to do wheelies in second gear. I think the faster i go the easier it is, so i do them in third.. Plus this takes time to find the BP. Give it a couple weeks.
