| CT70H K0 FS/Trade
All original HK0 in Candy Topaz orange. I just picked this bike up and need to get rid of it. I was planing to clean it up and get it running but my time is limited so I figured I'd post it up on here first. This bike can be cleaned up and made into a real decent rider or is the perfect start for a resto. I didn't write down the VIN, but I believe it was CT70H-15XXXX. Details listed below: Chrome: TL bracket will clean up great except for a couple spots that have a good amount of surface rust. Fenders look like they will clean up very nice (there is one bend at the end of the rear fender that can be straightened pretty easily). Handle bars have a couple spots of surface rust in the corners that may or may not clean up, but are otherwise super straight and very clean. Muffler is obviously rotted out in two pieces but guard is in pretty nice shape. I will include a good solid muffler assy with some surface rust on it. Air box covers are great. Engine guard is super nice except for some surface rust beneath the engine. Lower fork legs look like they'll clean up pretty nice. Paint/Body/etc.: Will look pretty presentable for original paint save for some scratches here and there. I have an orange chain guard to go with it that has some dents in it. Headlight bucket is toast, but easily replaced. Wheels are super nice with just a little surface rust starting as you can see in the pics. No pitting to speak of. Front tire is very nice and the rear has some dry cracking. The seat pan is rotted pretty bad. I have another original K0 one that is super nice with just two very tiny cracks starting that I will offer to the buyer. Battery box setup is all there with the correct rubbers and whatnot. Missing the battery strap. Engine: Turns over nicely. Kicker splines are good and not stripped out. Previous owner mentioned that the stator was no good. He tried it with a different stator and supposedly had it running. I have a new ignition/lighting coil/points/condensor kit on the way and will be included. I do not have the original flywheel cover but can include one without the removable points cover. The carb has a broken petcock knob. There is absolutely a lot to work with here. CT is a non-title state for vehicles older than 1981. The clerk at the DMV told me that out of state DMVs should honor a CT bill of sale due to this. If not, there is always ITS for $75 to get a title. I am looking to get $700 for it. I would be interested in trades for an XR or CRF50 or equivalent. I have a nice original orange headlight bucket and headlight assembly on the way that will be included with the bike.

Spent about an hour tonight cleaning it up a bit. I threw on a flywheel cover and chain guard. I'm waiting for the HL bucket to come in (hopefully by the end of the week). I also put on the nice original seat I had here. One of the best looking original pans I've seen. VIN# is CT70H-158702 and engine number is CT70HE-158914. Certainly appears to be the original engine. Here are some updated pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
