Takegawa LCD Tach/Speedo/Odometer

SOLD!
I have a new in package Takegawa Blue Backlit D Type
it's a speedometer/tachometer/odometer (in KM/H) all in one unit.

I won't be able to use it since I've changed out the front end and wheels on my monkey bike. It's a trick little piece that Reynolds_Brad runs as well.
SOLD!

Does it only work for the monkeys or other bikes as well?

What wheels/pickup will it work with ? I have a perfectly straight CRF50 frame + swinger in great condition, problem is no more numbers.

It works with the standard Z50 Speedo drive and cable setup that actually fits on all years of Z50.

However, with this setup, you need to run a battery or the LCD will go nuts at idle and it fits in the stock headlamp assembly of the Honda Monkey.

I run this on my 2003 Monkey and it's the nicest speedometer available for the Monkey or Panda headlamp bucket, bar none.

For the RPM pickup, it plugs in back of the Honda 12V coil. Cool setup.

looking for something with numbers and a title/mso.

thanks mr. z for the info. i forgot that you were running one as well. i would have loved to run this as it does fit really well into the headlight bucket.

i also have a kitaco speedo drive for 10" wheels that i can part with as well.

i'm not sure on that one. i can compare the nsr speedo and kitaco speedo when i get home.

if it works it would be a good addition to your build.

If you are running a stock 12" NSR50 front tire with your 12" NSR50 speedo drive, the LCD meter will read correctly.

Another example - If you are running 3.5X10" tires and have the Takegawa speedo drive for 10" tires, the speedo will read correctly.

If you are running 3.5X8" tires with the 8" speedo drive, the meter will read correctly.

However, if you deviate from the stock tire size for your speedo drive, the meter will be off by the % that your tire size is different.

Pierce - In your case, if you are running a 100/90/12 in the front with your NSR50 speedo drive, then the speedo will be balls on.

it's really meant for the monkey as it sits in the same location as the stock speedo. it could work if you had the correct provisions on the hub, right speedo drive and cable.

thanks santa z. appreciate the help with questions.

Even though you sold this, it works on the stock Honda Ape 50 and 100 headlamp buckets as well. For future reference...

Yeah I noticed that Brad has the exact same headlight setup as I do in the video of the speedo. Is that bucket used on other bikes other than the ape?

Ness,

What are you looking for? A titled frame or something?

You could have had my 07 crf50 with MC plates in trade a couple times over.. Still need a reason to part that bike, and more so still need a Monkey exhaust.

lmk if you got any more goodies bigwurm@charter.net
I don't have as much time for PM in winter.. but always up for trades

PS - frame is not for sale btw
