My Mood: | anyone from calgary?
I have just moved to calgary from ontario, i have a crf50 that ive been practising on wheelies and all that.. I had a perfect spot to ride my fiddy where i used to live but now in calgary i dont know anyone or any spots (nice quiet parking lot) that noone will bother me. so i would appreciate if anyone lets me know of a nice area that i could take my bike to stunt. the weather's been pretty nice except the snow today,,but its time to open up the fiddy season,,only if i knew where to take it!! peace! |

ya, im in calgary. we used to rip some parkinglots and small parks in the NE but the bylaw officers finally caught up with us, but we got away with warnings. if your dead set on ripping parking lots you could try in the foothills industrial area after work hours, or on weekends. lots of big empty parking areas with little to no traffic. take a drive around there and see if you find a good spot. or you could do what everyone does and go to the Blackfoot moto track. there is a mini track there and its 15$ to ride all day. mini-moto races tuesday nights Wild Rose MX that is the website for the blackfoot track. |

Hey I'm also in Calgary. I've never been caught my self but I have heard of some pretty massive fines for riding pitbikes, pocketbikes, or any other non street legal motorized vehicle within city limits. I know of one incident where Hawks police helicopter helped bust some guy riding a 50 up on Nose Hill. It even made the news. That said you used to be able to ride way up in the northwest where they are building Stoney Trail. But it's all paved now and you wouldn't catch me up there. Blackfoot track is fun but prepare yourself for a scene. Maybe ask some of the dudes in the "Calgary Pit Bike Alliance" facebook group.

Nice town I've been on business a few years back and Edmonton a few times as well in the middle of winter or should I say -24 degrees C damn cold. I tried to get out to the Wild Rose MX by Calgary but didn't make it.
