| Clip Ons
Hi guys, I have a very bent left clip on handlebar on my '04 NSR50. The local dealer wants 70 bucks for it but they're backordered until August. Ronayers has 'em for $40 but I have no idea whether they have it in stock. Calarami quotes me $65.88 but they have no stock either. What options do I have? Should I go with aftermarket bars? What's available? I've heard of the hurricanes but have no idea who sells them. Will something generic like Woodcraft work? Like something for a 600. It would make replacement much easier. |

Woodcraft & Vortex both start at 35mm clip ons if I'm not mistaken. Only jap brands sell 30mm clip ons. I'm curious what the aftermarket 30mm clip ons go for as well. I'm thinking just about all clip ons go for $150, but that is a blind guess.

I stand corrected. Nice find.

Any idea if they will fit, though? The 30mm refers to the diameter of the fork, correct?

on conventional forks the fork diameter is the clamp ons diameter as well, so they will fit right on. You will need to run a 2004 top clamp if you are installing them on an older bike.

Great. I have an 04 so it should be no problem. So the only issue remaining would be whether the bars would clear the bodywork, especially at full lock? |

Imagine your stock clip ons without the rise in them. The woodcraft ones would be a couple inches lower I would think. How tall are 04 nsr forks from the axle to the top? If you wanted the clip ons closer to stock placement you could add fork extensions and mount the clip ons to the fork extensions.

Thanks. Im also concerned about the diameter of the BARs themselves. Will the stock controls and throttle mount to it?
