| ADMIN | John Deiker Memorial Fund – Please Read John Deiker Family Memorial Fund As most of you are aware by the posts in the NSR50 forum earlier this week, John Deiker, aka NCNSR, was hit and killed on his 2004 NSR50 while riding 6 blocks from his house on November 29, 2009. This was a hit-and-run accident and the driver of the vehicle is still at large. There are a couple of leads on the case, but there have been no arrests made at the writing of this message. If any additional information comes to light, we will pass this along. With heavy hearts, Joe Graham (RespolNSR) and I are organizing a Deiker Family Memorial Fund for Planetminis asking for donations to give a little bit back to the family to go towards the college fund of his two children, Erika (5) and Evan (4). John was an integral part of the Planetminis.com family. I had the opportunity to get to know John over the last year from our various parts dealings and many conversations discussing various aspects of his bike build along with life in general. He was a devoted father to his two young kids and a devoted husband to his wife Christine. He loved his work and loved NSR50s. It’s hard to truly get to know the people you deal with online until you really have the chance to talk to someone in real life. He spoke about his kids often and how they were the center of his universe. Joe, myself and others are honored to have called John our friend. He will be greatly missed. John poured his heart and soul into creating parts awareness for the Honda NSR50 and spent hundreds of hours researching and sharing this information with others on PM to open up the borders on what is available overseas. He was the consummate NSR50 enthusiast and was working towards building one of the nicest and unique NSR50’s I’ve seen to date. In fact, he just finished up the first generation of his engine a couple of days before he passed. As noted above, The Deiker Family has set up donations to go towards the kids college fund. Any little bit that you can offer will greatly help them at this time of need. Joe Graham (RepsolNSR) will be administering the donations for the Planetminis.com Community and has set up a paypal address for the family for those who wish to donate to help out John’s children. Your kind donation can be sent to the following paypal address: Fund has ended and links have been removed. Joe will be collecting funds for the next month then will present payment to John’s wife Christine. The donation can be presented in your name, screen name or anonymously. Just let Joe know in the notes section of the paypal when you send it. We kindly ask people to donate what you can to help out one of our own in his family’s time of need. If you have any questions regarding the Deiker Family Memorial Fund, please feel free to contact RepsolNSR or myself via private message and we will be happy to answer questions. A couple of dollars will go a long way to help secure the future well being of his kids. Regards, Dan Smith Joe Graham |

Hopefully my little contribution will help. The stuff John brought to this section was cool and interesting.
