NSR/F 124SE Project!!! Updated Pics of the project!!!

Well I thought I would share a few pics of my latest project. It is a 2004 NSR fitted with a 124SE Ktiaco motor and Classic Honda pipe that was routed to fit under the tail. This is one fast little bike and should of been built this way from the get go!

Nice job - looks good.
It kinda looks like the front wheel will hit the head under braking ?

Very Nice... What did you have to do to make the 124SE motor fit the NSR frame?

very sweet looking bike.... and should be fast... but i would expect some problems with front wheel clearance...

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Now get a G-craft triple clamp and run the USD RS125 front forks and you'll have the offset you need and have one of the hottest front suspensions going.

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Thanks Guys!!!

The head did hit the fender under heavy braking and once I trimmed the fender and moved up the tripple clamps on the forks, it took care of the problem. I am also looking into ordering the stiffer front and rear springs for the suspension to help out the handling. The stock setup is just way to soft for me.

Send the forks to Ray Perez and have him respring and install emulators. They will be night and day better. For the rear suspension, get the Ohlins. It will only set you back about $800 for the shock, but it's worth every penny.

FYI!!!!

If anyone is interested in doing a build like this let me know? I can have the motor mounts made on request. They are made of aluminum.

Wouldn't those be too long?

Edit: This supports my theory... that said, Z if you've got any info on this setup you'd care to share, I'm interested. RS125 forks would be easier to adapt for road racing than 37mm dirt Showas, especially if someone's already rigged the setup to take NSR50 wheels...

EditEdit: Looking at the finished product, they do in fact work... still look too long for my setup though.

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Very nice...but moving the forks changes the geometry of the front end! I pushed my forks up 7-10mm and wouldn't go anymore then that!

Yeah, I'd like to see them motor mouts as well... might be interested in a set if I go 4 stroke sometime in the future??

Wow. That's really nice looking. Great job on the custom work. But as some others have said...putting a 4 stroke in the NSR is sacreligious!
