NSR preformance Reeds and IRK....Who-What-and Where?

I am looking for a few hop up parts for my kids bike and was wondering if these were available and worth the time and money.

I have seen both in other posts but cant find them anymore. I thought Team Calamari made some reeds.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Scroll down towards the bottom of the page...
Performance Products 5

Or, buy a sheet of Carbon fibre and cut your own.

Re: NSR preformance Reeds and IRK....Who-What-and Where?

Boyeson Dual Stage reeds are pretty good and cost almost half of the others. I tried the Kitaco carbon fibers, but I seemed to gain a little mid and seemed to have flutter at high RPM. A guy I race with uses the TC reeds which I believe may actually be Carbon Tech and he likes them.

When I had the 2 stroke in the NSR, I used the Boyeson Dual Stage reeds and really liked them! They were only around $25 too! Worked great!

What about the IRK or even lightening the stock fly wheel?

Any real performance to be gained by just the reeds?

If you're not into spending much cash, used to just do minor things to add a bit more pep to the bike.

Adding a slightly thicker base gasket, or even doubling up adjusting with a thinner head gasket moved the powerband up the range slightly. If you can find a slightly bigger reed cage to insert that would be good too. Slotting the stator plate and advancing the spark timing slightly also works.

What about the IRK or lightened flywheel?

What years for the 80/85 reed cage and a stock one or aftermarket like the V-Force.

Thanks for the help.

Billy Wiese told me they tried the V-force for a CR but there wasnt enough room for it to open all the way.I am looking into this Speed-Parts.nl, onderdelen en accessoires voor scooters. It is for a Minarelli AM6 http://www.mototassinari.com/index.p...104&Itemid=107 #V352B (65cc and up)

Ray, those inner rotors are nice.. but what is the difference between that and the other ones that are $350?

CRF/XR100 Kitaco Inner-Rotor Ignition

I've been wanting to get one, but don't want to bend a valve when I miss a shift.. I've already done that one with the stock lighter flywheel, and I'm sure I would of destroyed the motor if I had the inner rotor kit!

i like the power band and the hit from this ignition, its easy to time and its stand alone so you remove all the old parts and harnes and fit this one. xr100's do bend valves but only because the valve's float. sounds like you need better springs and ti valves and retainers to ligthen up the valve train?

Re: NSR preformance Reeds and IRK....Who-What-and Where?

I have all that.. it was my mess up from downshifting 2 gears when I needed to upshift!! I've got GP shift on my NSR, but still running street pattern on my 600RR.. so I just messed up! I just bent the exhaust valve a little, but the bike still ran! If I had an inner rotor kit, it would of been the end of my race day for sure! HAHA
