| Takegawa wheels? source?
Where would I be able to find a set of Takegawa's wheels. Who Imports them and how much? I love the look of these guys. Could I just use KSR hubs and machine them to accept larger Disc brakes for my TZR250 YSR build? Maybe there is an easier way that I am not seeing? The front suspension is being converted to shortened and stiffened cr80 inverted shocks made by Showa with a 15mm Front axle. I dont really care about the rear as everything is still in the air, Disc or drum brakes, stock braced swingarm +3 or cu$tom Aluminum. I really dont want this to take forever so I am leaning towards a braced lengthened stock swingarm. Last edited by Nooblette; 12-14-2009 at 04:07 PM. Reason: add picture |

I cant find KSR80 or KST110 rear wheels, discs ect anywhere here in California so that conversion is basically going to cost me almost as much as getting some good looking wheels or re-machining a new hub for the rear... So here is the deal. I am looking for some wheels in the $400-$600 range. I like the look of the Galespeeds and the NSF100 Wheels but I don't want to spend that much. A Supermoto 12" wheel would be great if it were cast or forged aluminum. Axle size doesn't matter because I am using cr80 forks on the front anyways and I can make spacers. I would like front and rear disc brakes when its done so something that is easily converted with a little machining would be ok too. Any suggestions? I have seen a bunch of posts and did some searches regarding wheels but everything is in the $1000 range and more! |
