| Ysr50 problem any help?
Having a problem with my ysr bogging. Think it is not getting enough fuel. It happens when taking off, shifting through first, second, third gears, wide open is great but when I shift into 4th or5th it bogs and wants to shut off. The bike has a 60 big bore piston kit k&n filter and jet kit, Dg pipe. The tank has been coated properly and nothing is showing up in the tank filter or the clear inline filter. Its almost like it is sucking the bowl dry in the carb. The fuel is premix with yamalube 2r oil. I am pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. It has to be fuel, everything electrical and the plug is new.Any Helpfull hints or ideas would be great. It idles great and runs perfect untill you are at WOT for 10 or 15 seconds running through the gears.

Have you always had this problem? Is it a new bike to you? Have you cleaned the carb?

It may be that your carb needs to be tuned (correct jetting and or needle clip needs adjusted). Call Team Calamari and get their opinion Last edited by Manimal; 07-23-2009 at 09:18 PM. | |
