Re: 01 silverado

Why did the rear end need a rebuild? What gears are you running right now??

Did you do a shift kit or vette servo to the tranny??

Re: 01 silverado

it had a cheap limited slip from the factory that blows apart quite often, i have replaced alot of them at the dealer. it would lock up and stay locked for miles. so i finally replaced it. is has 3.73 gears and all new bearings. the tranny has a corvette servo and valve body updates from the dealer. was rebuilt by a well experiened tranny guy who i've worked with for 5 years. truck runs, drives and shifts perfect. you'ed never even know it had a locker its so smooth and quiet.

Re: 01 silverado

Yeah, I've got a '96 OBS Chevy with a LSD in the back, and it stays locked after experiencing wheelspin for quite a while. I'm hoping I can find someone with an open rear end so I can toss in a no-slip locker and forget about it.

Hope it sells, it's a pretty reasonable price - DAVE
