I knew that title would get ya'lls attention. Since I am doing some work to my 88 engines and my 10" mod bike has a blown out front wheel and waiting on parts. I took the Daytona 124 DOHC out of my Thumpstar mod bike and stuck it in the 88 chassis. It has the same carb and ign. but stock Thumpstar pipe and fiber Takegawa air filter. I had to go from a 145 main to a 170. The 88 chassis has a wheel base of 42" and the peg height is just a pube over 10". With the 88 motor in it the bike handled like it was on rails! It was a dream to ride hard! I have a few new things I want to try suspension wise, it currently has an elka for regular A-style swinger. But when riden for 10 hard minutes the shock starts to fade seriously! So Im going to have Velocity revalve it and try some different oil, then I have another shock that I want to try and see how she work. I will keep everyone up to date on it.     and yes I know it looks a little dirty but that was only what was left over after it was hosed off, I didnt scrub it any. |

ohh yea, forgot to add this bike is going to be an absolute blast/handfull to ride!

I tought the biggest they made was a 119?? Tak makes the 124...or am I wrong?

Im uploading vids right now from OWC. and yes the holes are to help with air flow to the oil cooler since I ride in 90+ degree heat 95% of the year. |
