New CDI or not?

If you have an aftermarket one do you think it was worth it?

Re: New CDI or not?

Haha! Are you kidding me? No, CDIs don't make a power difference.

Take your car, buy a generic aftermarket ignition, install it on your car without programming it, hook it up and see how much horsepower you gain. You won't gain any.

Re: New CDI or not?

They don't make much of a difference on China engines but we have seen gains with some Jap engines

Re: New CDI or not?

No change, unless it is programmable, which a company in Germany are making one now that is progammable. A CDI will help if you can change the mapping.

Re: New CDI or not?

I don't see these cheap china ones make any diffirence, but i can just about bet that the digital set up that Tokyo Mods make will sure make a diffirence, don't think they would charge a $999.00 for something that ain't going to help.
