Oil Coolers?

MY BUDDY JUST BOUGHT THIS ENGINE OFF OF EBAY I AM JUST WONDERING DOES HE HAVE TO RUN AN OIL COOLER OR CAN YOU RUN IT WITHOUT ONE AND WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES/DISADVANTAGES?

No you dont HAVE to run tho cooler, You will just need to hook the two nipples together. Depending on what kind of riding your doing really depends on if you need it or not.

Just hook a length of rubber hose to each of the fittings in a " U-shape " and you should be fine.

I would not buy that engine from that ebay vendor. It is a 1d3u tranny also which can be problematic.

Call SGR-USA (vendor here on planetminis) He has them in the 4up tranny which is better. He probably includes the cooler or can get you one for cheap. He also carries the lifan monster 140cc for a good price (the 138 is really only 127cc but not a bad little engine though)

He already bought this one ebay. Thanks for the help! Should we just put the cooler on or are they expensive? Any maintence and do they help at all?
