Hey guys im going to be building my new track once spring comes so i hought maybe it would be cool to have everyone design a track then put them in a poll and then i will use the winners ideas during the build and give ya a couple bucks.ive built tracks plenty of times but i thought it would be cool to see what everyone was thinking and take all the best ideas and make one killer track . Equipment is not a problem i have loaders bobcats backhoes excavators you name it also a sifter so there will be no rocks haha. ill will post pics if you guys want of what the land is now to give an idea. thanks! | Re: track design contest !
I have spent the last five evenings redesigning my track on paper for this coming spring. My current track is long with rolling hills and lots of natural terrain, doubles and tables. I want to make it much more technical. I am already going stir crazy with the shorter days and winter is still weeks away.I have so many ideas in my head, rather hard putting them on paper to proper scale of my layout. Would love to see pictures of your current track if you have one now. One of these years I hope to afford an indoor riding arena or a big horse barn with a riding ring so I could make a small track to keep me sane during the winter. Snowmobiles are fun but not the same as motocross. |

Google maps satellite view and dimensions would help a lot. Here's my track. It's pretty small but my kids are only 7 and 3. A new design is in the works as my 7 year old turns 8 and gets his new KX65. My 3 year old will have to just go around some of track. So this thread will help me as well! Looking forward to seeing some ideas! |

Here's a MTB pump track I drew up a while ago that might give you some ideas. |

Alright, been on the phone for a while so I doodled this up for you. But anyways, here's a layout and instructions below. ![]() Take off on start and take a left hander. Far inside hits a little double, outside just jumps out on a single. Then carry down to a low table top. Sweeping righter hander with the inside line having 2 small kickers to slow you down. Tabletop with a single in the middle so you can just jump and land on the single if you'd like. Then into another sweeper corner. Single to table top right out of the corner, into a whoops section, then bottlenecks a little into a low, floater style tabletop. Wide left hand berm into a triple, then into a 90, SX style left hand berm. Decent sized step on step off, then land and the left can hit the tabletop, or the right can hit a kicker ONTO the tabletop and then hit a kicker to jump down to the landing of the table. Then a tight right hand corner. Long straightaway, and the right side can hit a small kicker to jump onto the single, then power to try to clear a big table top. Or the left hand side can hit the single wide open and jump up on top of the table top. Then a left hand corner. Whoop section to a single, to a whoop section, to a raised berm (like a off camber jump thing). Power through a rhythm section of 5 jumps, then hit a decent sized table top, and a small double to slow you down for the next corner. Tight, tall bermed left hand turn. Then a table table section, that's capable of being linked together into one jump if you get the speed. Then a small triple section, and a right hand turn. Pyramid/triple/ step-on-step-off style jump, then a 180 bowl turn, a couple whoops, and then a S curve into a single that launches you out into just a field to powerhouse through. At the end of the field there's a kicker on the inside to slow them down a little, then bottleneck down to go past start... and that's the end of the track. Like a long arenacross with some open sections.
