| Planning our trip to Vegas...please HELP
We are keen as to fly over and do some riding before and after the mini sx in Vegas, We fly in from Australia on about the 15th of April and staying til the 15th of May... We would love to get your input on how we should plan our trip out... We are first timers to Vegas... We have from the 15th of April til May 15th... What lead up to vegas races will be on? How far from Vegas? Where should we go practising and riding before and after vegas... We don't mind hiring a car and hitting the road... Also does any one know what the law is on bike importing? We will be send ing our bikes from Australia and some from china and some parts from Japan? thanks heaps for ya help and looking forward to banging bars come vegas time! braaap Brad Smith Braaap - Welcome +61419301712 brad@braaap.com.au |

Tracks in Southern Cali would be... Milestone Ranch MX Park, Inc. - Home Lake Elsinore_____________________________ RaceTown 395, It's YOUR Track! Welcome to RideCEMX.com - Official Web Site of Competitive Edge Motocross Park! STARWEST - "Southern California's Premiere Motocross Park" The only tracks not requiring you to buy a membership will be Racetown 395, and Competitive Edge. I have heard you can pay a higher practice fee and ride at Milestone without buying a membership. Starwest will for sure make you buy their annual "insurance" in order to ride. Lake Elsinore will also make you buy a membership. I would look to stay near my place in Victorville/Hesperia area. For two reasons, it's on the main road you will need to take to get to Vegas and two of the tracks to ride (comp Edge and Racetown395) are here.

I don't see any races scheduled yet during the time you will be here. There usually is something going on. But worst case scenario, we can always organize a ride day or two or three..lol. I did not register to race so I couldn't help you with the AMA license stuff. You should probably contact AMA.
