Re: post up your vegas 8" bikes

As I gaze into my crystal ball, the winner of this event in Vegas will be:

Derek Rose aka DNRcustoms here on PM.

Have him post up his bike and you'll be able to see what the winning bike looks like months in advance of the race.

When you start a thread like this, you are supposed to post up pics of your new-used bike first to get the thread going.

I'm not going to race, but if I was, I wouldn't be showing Jack to anyone until after the race. The rules are poorly written and there's alot of room for interpretation.

Yeah I have alot of ideas on what to do but they seem to be so wide open for mods. Seeing others bikes may help out.

Re: post up your vegas 8" bikes

I would, but its such a pain in the ass to get bikes out there and back. I end up spending a grand to ride for 10 minutes.

You can throw Fast50s Speed Forks on them, kinda pricey though unless you can pick them up used or whatnot.

dude ship your bike to me I will bring it up in the rig and then ship it back and you can fly in like pro status and race. The speed forks FIT THE WIDE WHEEL? I will look into that.

Yea I used to ship the bikes to Waffle and all that stuff. Ok maybe I will think about it thanks for that.

Call John/Craig at F50s I know I have seen pics of them on the Z's, I don't even know if they are on the site though so maybe they had special clamps made. It would be a nice setup though, but honestly you can just do bushing and stiffer springs and for Vegas you would be fine don't you think.

Re: post up your vegas 8" bikes

Was going to run this in Vegas but since its longer a "vintage" class not worth it. They frig'd up another class.

By the way Dan, I wouldn't bet the house on your boy yet. Wait till they see what Chris Korrum built. Think I spelled his name right

I, too, think they dropped the ball on the 8" wheel class. The class really needed to keep the stock forks so people could truly bang bars. Now we'll have people building high $$ dedicated race Z50's removing the main reason why the class should be run in the first place. Cheap and fun racing on a bunch of low buck beaters.
