Major MoM announcement:

I've been talking with a bunch of you guys lately and the general consensus is that everyone is looking for something less serious at the MoM events.

I spent several nights lying awake thinking about you guys trying to come up with something to get everyone excited. We'll yesterday morning while I was
lathering up in the shower it hit me. MoM Relay Race 2009! This won't be a serious baton passing event by any means. Read on...

Each relay team will have 4 riders. At least one member of each team must be female! Maybe a three girl team with one guy? Hmmm... interesting.

Each team will have 4 bikes:

-one Poorboy
-one Open Class men's
-one Open Class women's
-one Limited Class

The race will consist of 9 laps:

-The first lap will be all Poorboy bikes. Take out moves, kill switch hits, etc are allowed and highly encouraged.
-The next 8 laps will be two laps by each member in any order. This will require a little strategy. Do you run your poorboy first and finish strong with the open class men's?
Do you run you open class first to build a quick lead? Only you can decide!
-There will be an unflattering, slightly humiliating item that must be passed from rider to rider during the race.
-There may be obstacles, tasks, etc on the track that will not be announced beforehand.
-Matching team shirts are required. Think Walmart, not custom Fox jerseys.

Start building your teams now! Girls, get ready to be heavily courted by guys in need of a female rider. Guys: gifts, bribes, etc may be necessary. Girls: play hard to get. Hold out for the best offer!

This will be a non-points race. We're not even going to score it. There will be a worthless rotating trophy that will be held by the winning team until they are beaten at a following round. Prepare to brag and rub it in the loser's face!

You have to modify the women's thing. Because I'm NOT getting into a dress.. again.

Seriosuly though, that's a very VERY tough requirement. Maybe set a handicap if you don't have a woman. An extra poorboy/stocker lap? You have to start backwards? Have to start each rider with no helmet (and the helmet has to be put on). C'mon.

Thats a cool idea. Make sure you get video for those of us that aren't up your way to ride in the event. I bet it would be a vimeo hit viral video.

Nope. No girl, no team! There are plenty of girls out there. Beth Ferrrera, Ashlee Elia, Katie Cyr, Honda Crazi 116, Jennie, Erica Haas, Anthony's wife, Laurie Olcott, etc. Go cruise the biker bars and find girl that can pull off two laps on a pitbike. Steal a girl from another team with a better offer! Come on man! You have a few weeks to make this happen.

There are only what 5 or so who run the womens races now .. So it's gonna make for a slim show'n at the gate ..

I say have a Lemans run to your bike start with dead engine ...

I think the starter should have a cap gun or an air horn to signal the start too !!!

Another requirement should be a person who doesn't race in MoM as a rider in each crew (get some first time racers out there)

I guess I didn't spell it out in the original post. The relay will be an additional moto at Marshfield. There will be a fee to enter, but it'll be around the same cost as adding an additional class to your normal registration.

Each team should appoint a Captain that may be interviewed by the announcer throughout the evening prior to the race. He will ask about team tactics, team members, promote smack talk, etc.

We don't plan on budging on not having a girl on each team. So all you lame asses that have no game, and can't convince a girl to do two measly laps, should probably stay home and watch "So You Think You Can Dance" or something.
