| Japanese tuner goodies...
Just thought I'd start a thread to post up your favorite Japanese zoomer/ruckus aftermarket goodies... I really liked emergency gas can from "Moon Eyes." I wonder if I could add a valve and some tubing to make it an aux tank for the ruck or dax.... -R |

So is Texas: ) Check out the Monkey/z50 forums. Many of us order custom parts through US based shops that specialize in Japanese aftermarket honda parts. I get most my stuff from honda50.com. I plan on doing the same thing for my ruckus build... -R |

Thanks Dan. It's these situations that tempt me to abuse moderator powers and delete evidence of my own stupidity. I just remind myself that with great power, comes great responsibility... Are the same products available through Moon Eyes usa? I know they make some zoomer specific stuff and I wasn't sure if they made it all here. I guess I should mention that I found this item in the Tokyo Parts japan website : ) -R Last edited by dicktony; 08-15-2008 at 01:39 AM. |

Model number is MP1025. I found this number on the Mooneyes Japan site, then e-mailed Mooneyes USA.. They replied: "Jude, Sorry, there are restrictions that don't allow us to sell that tank in US." 2 days later a different rep sent me this e-mail: "Sorry, but those are discontinued." So I wrote to Southtek in Japan (Self-appointed TP English translator "that Mooneyes Fuel Tank is USD$ 247 plus $35 shipping. I have held one and it seems pretty solid (at that price, it'd want to be). that is, it's not light or flimsy like your average camping fuel bottle." I don't know if I'd pay that much. Grrrr. I might just get them to make me a custom baby auxiliary tank for a little bit more. Or make one myself. | |

Thanks Wurms, great info. The price is a little steep for an aluminum "gas can." The GCraft Aux tank is lI know someone will ruin it for me by buying the tank and using it to keep their "Venti" double mocha, non fat coffee warm : ) |
