ok so I have a Yoshimura Exhaust and I am gonna buy a BBR 88cc big bore kit to use with the stock head. I was wondering if i could use the exhaust with the bore kit. The exhuast wasn't made for big bore kits but would it damage anything or cost any performance?

it wond damage anything at all. it might choke it off a lil bit. i thought the yoshi was the better of the many pipes out there. are you getting a carb?

A yoshi can handle an 88kit.

I ran a yosh on my old 117 and it worked good .Probably one of the best pipes out there.

yeah my yoshi works great right now but i was just wondering if not having the "big bore" pipe would effect it at all. and yes i will have a new 18mm carb. so am i good or what?

don't get confused by the name "big bore 88". The 88 bore kits usually run better with a pipe that is not a "big bore" Your Yoshi pipe will be perfect... if you got the larger diameter "big bore" pipe you would not get much if any advantage, and you would probably loose some of your low end power.

True story. I have a bbr 88 with a fmf big bore, and it works just fine, but it seems like it doesn't have as much bottom end power as a stock pipe. A big bore pipe is for bigger than an 88. And a yoshi pipe is one of the best.
