Best Carb For Takegawa 88cc +R

Im putting together a 88cc +R and am stuck on which carb to go with. Ive heard of alot of people running the Keihin PE24, but would it perform better with a Mikuni? Or even something else?

Re: Best Carb For Takegawa 88cc +R

Go with the Keihin 24, great high quality carb and matches your engine just about perfectly. Any keihin or mikuni carb are going to be the best choices for quality and tunability. Like LongMooie said, the mikuni vm26 will probably be a little too big for your bike unless you tune it down. However if you plan on porting/polishing your head you could run the vm26 and it will work great.

Hands Down - Yoshimura TM-MJN24. However, it's also the most expensive.

tuning carbs is fun! sarcasm intended. I have a brand new (15min of run time) mikuni flatslide 24mm if interested, and yes it is the real thing.

I called around about the Yoshimura TM-MJN24, looks like I can get one for about 390.00. I havent read one review about them yet that the person doesnt love it.

Looks like I might be buying one of these.

also there is a new yoshimura mjn cr22 carb ,
takegawa have also just released this carb, highly reccomending it for all of there head kits

the yoshimura version is better as it has the mjn conversion ( multi-jet nozzle )
giving faster a reaction to throttle movement

I vote for a Keihin PWK 22 or 24, they should work fine!

wow! That looks sweet. How many $$ does a beauty like that run? Keep us posted on how it works out for you; include your jet sizes since that helps out so many other PM'ers. Good luck tuning.
