crf50 gets gas and spark. but wont start

i tried taking the sparkplug out and pour a little gas into the head and put the plug back in but no pop. didnt do anything. i did just rebuild the engine. i forgot to put the small sleeve/spacer that goes between the head and cylinder. theres suppose to be two but i forgot to put one. so im thinking its loozing compression from that. but shouldnt it still pop over?. and im going to take the head off in a minute to put that sleeve back on. but i still dont think that would keep it from poping. because theres a gasket that im sure keeps air tight

Don't pour gas in the spark plug hole that's not going to do anything except possibly hydro-lock it. Check the timing while you're at it.

timing is perfect. the flywheel T-line is on mark with the case line at the top. and at the same time the timing sproket"s dot is lined up with the mark on the head at the left. its perfect i can even take a pic to show you. im working on it right now taking the head off to put the small sleeve back on. if that doesnt solve the problem then i realy dont know what to check

from not having the spacer in between the head and cylinder shouldnt really cause a loss in compression, maybe it would even increase it minimally since its reducing the volume between the piston and head.

If its getting gas and sparking, I would try messing with the carb if everything else is correct (like valve clearance and timing). Also, I wouldn't any more gas into the spark plug hole, If anything spray some ether/starting fluid into the carb and see if that gets it to turn over better.

Put your old stator back in. Then see if she fires.

Did you happen to clean (remove rust) the flywheel up by sanding or using steel wool. I steel wooled mine once and then the excess steel wool eventually built up enough and would not create a spark. Cleaned that off and was good to go.
