crf50 gpx 140cc engine help



i was thinking about puting an 88cc big bore kit on my crf50 but by the time i spend the money on everything needed it comes out to be as much as the gpx 140cc crated engine. just wantd to kno if anyone knows if this is a good engine? heres the link to it http://shop.pitsterpro.com/gpxmoto140xcrateengine.aspx

yeah they are pretty good engines, i've heard a lot of good things about these, but you may want to check out firepowerminis.com Terry has some yx140's with carb wiring etc....for around $329 I believe.

Numbers game... It would likely run better on top with a bigger "true" 26mm carb, but the "22" is the same as other oval venturi 24-26's, and they run fine. Parts and jets are easily available. Other than needing a short screwdriver to adjust idle fuel mixture, they're a fine carb. The outlet is 26 as is the manifold. Just the venturi is smaller. TB 20mm has a 20mm outlet, much smaller oval venturi, and make great power, have good response.
